Associate Monument Manager

This position is located in the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument (GSENM). As an Associate Monument Manager, the incumbent will serve as the Assistant to the Monument Manager and share fully in duties, responsibilities and authorities of the Manager. He/she will represent the Monument Manager in transactions affecting the Monument and exercise final commitment authority to make administrative and technical decisions on Monument matter during the absence of the Monument Manager. Major duties include but are not limited to:
Responsible for planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating a broad array of complex resource management programs. Develops, implements, and manages a program conservation and management of land and resource programs. Coordinates land and resource planning and management with representatives of other agencies. Directs the organizations by using formally established subordinate supervisors and team leads. Serves as a consultant, coach and supporter with employees in solving problems. Physical demands:
Normally works in an office setting, with occasionally strenuous duty and normal field duty associated with resources work. Work may be conducted under widely adverse conditions such as severe winter temperatures and summers that are extremely hot and dry:
May be required to walk into roadless areas or otherwise negotiate areas inaccessible to vehicular travel. Other methods of travel may include all-terrain vehicles, aircraft, or horseback. Work Environment:
Most work is performed in the office in close proximity to fellow workers. Field work may include walking or driving motor vehicles over rough terrain in remote areas. Abnormal stress situations may also occur involving completion of work to meet short deadlines. Incumbent will adhere to all safety rules and regulations as prescribed in manuals/supplements or by the designated Safety Officer. Specialized experience requirement:
In order to be rated as qualified for this position, we must be able to determine that you meet the specialized experience requirement. To be creditable, this experience must have been equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade. This experience must be documented in your resume.In addition to the time-in-grade requirement, to qualify at the GS-13 level you must meet the following:

Applicants must possess one (1) full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 level that equipped you with the professional knowledge, skill, and ability to perform the duties of an Associate Monument Manager. Specialized experience at this level is defined as demonstrated examples of experience with leadership and management in a variety of natural resource programs within a multiple-use framework and established budget system; and experience in personnel management principles and techniques including supervision, evaluation, motivation, discipline, planning, and organization. Key elements in experience include experience with public lands, natural resources, effective interagency relationships, and managing public lands of multiple use.Education:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
