MONUMENT MANAGER

You must possess one (1) full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 level that is equivalent in difficulty and complexity as indicated by the following examples:
planning, implementing, and/or administering a natural resource program in a multi-resource environment involving the management of public lands; demonstrated leadership and/or management experience in managing or directing one or more natural resource programs within a multiple-use framework or natural resources management setting; experience working with an established budget system; and managing public lands for multiple use, such as energy, mineral and renewable resources. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement. Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade requirement in accordance with 5 CFR 300.604. Time-in-Grade requirements for the GS-13 level is 52 weeks at the GS-12 level. Physical Demands:
The incumbent typically works in an office setting with occasional trips to the field. The work of the position requires the incumbent to occasionally walk moderately long distances over rough terrain during normal fieldwork. Work Environment:
Office work is accomplished in an adequately lighted and heated facility. When in the field, subject to injuries when walking in rough terrain and exposure to uncomfortable hot and cold temperatures. Incumbent will adhere to all safety rules and regulations as prescribed in manuals/supplements or by the designated Safety Officer.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
